Different jobs

Bee is designed as personal memory: it summarizes your day and pulls out to dos. Amazon says audio is processed in real time and then deleted, never stored. Pocket keeps the recording and the transcript. If you need the exact words later, that matters.

Hardware

Bee Frontier is a $74.99 wristband or clip with dual mics, IP67 and up to 7 days of battery. Bee Eclipse is a phone attachment from $99.99, rated for more than 21 days and built for phone calls, listed as coming soon. Pocket is polite. It’s about the size of a credit card, it rides on the back of my phone, and one click starts it. The phone app does the rest. Nobody across the table is staring at a phone propped up on a stack of napkins or a laptop lid between us. A small light shows when it’s recording, so nobody is surprised.

Subscription

Bee’s free tier includes summaries and 14 days of memory. Bee Pro is $11.99 a month or $99.99 a year for unlimited memory, a desktop app, and Gmail, Calendar, Outlook, Alexa and Amazon integrations. Pocket’s free plan includes unlimited transcription, with Pro at $19.99 a month.

AI integrations

Pocket’s MCP server gives an AI seven tools: account info, folder lists, hybrid search across recordings, action item search, and action item updates on any plan, plus full transcripts with audio links and cross meeting questions on Pro. I run it every day. On the free plan, MCP is mostly search. Bee’s integrations are app connections. I didn’t find an MCP server on Bee’s pages.

Recording laws vary. Some states, including California and Washington, require everyone in the conversation to consent. Whatever you use, tell people you’re recording.

One more thing

Bee Frontier comes in a color called Sage.
