People ask how I get <a href="https://heypocket.com/12250024" rel="sponsored noopener">Pocket</a> recordings into Obsidian. I will only describe what Pocket publishes. If I cannot verify a step, I say so.

Setup is on [how to use Pocket](/how-to-use-pocket-ai-recorder/). Meetings are on [Pocket as a meeting recorder](/pocket-meeting-recorder/).

## What Pocket actually says

On Pocket's site, Obsidian sits in the documents row with OneDrive and Google Drive: conversations become searchable files. The Pro plan lists Notion, Google Drive, and OneDrive sync, plus PDF, DOCX, and Markdown export, including bulk export. The free plan lists text export and audio download.

Pocket's docs say you can export a transcript or summary to external apps or files. On the home screen, long-press a recording to enter multi-select, then Export. You can also hide, delete, or combine recordings from that menu.

I have not found a public Pocket doc that walks an Obsidian connect screen, a vault path, or a live two-way sync. I am not going to invent one.

## Workflow 1. Export a file into the vault

This is the path I can stand behind from the public pages.

1. Let the recording sync and finish its summary.
2. Export the transcript or summary. On Pro, Markdown is the useful format for a vault. On free, use the text export.
3. Save that file into the Obsidian folder you already use for meeting notes.

That is a file you dropped in a folder. It is not Pocket watching the vault. If you want tags, titles, or a daily note link, you add those in Obsidian.

Bulk export is listed on Pro. Pocket's docs also mention bulk actions from multi-select. I have not published a click-by-click bulk-to-vault walkthrough here because I have not verified that path on my machine.

## Workflow 2. Ask an agent to write the note

Pocket does not have to speak Obsidian for this. On Pro, the MCP server can fetch a full transcript, the summary, and a signed audio link. On any plan it can search recordings and list folders. Your agent writes a note in the vault from that.

I am not repeating setup. Use [connect Pocket to Claude](/connect-pocket-ai-to-claude/) or the [Pocket MCP server](/pocket-mcp-server/) page, then tell the agent which folder to write to. [Pocket and your AI agent](/pocket-ai-agent/) is the why.

Full transcripts are Pro. On the free plan, MCP is mostly search. Do not expect a complete note from search hits alone.

## Workflow 3. API or webhooks, if you build it

Pocket publishes a public API and webhooks. Webhooks can fire when a summary finishes, and Pocket's docs mention automations in tools like n8n, Zapier, and Make. You could send that payload into a vault folder. That is a build, not a setting. I have not shipped a ready vault pipeline, so I am not pasting sample code as if I had.

## What I am not claiming

- A verified one-tap Obsidian login inside Pocket.
- Live sync that updates a note every time Pocket re-summarizes.
- Pocket reading your vault back into the app.

If Pocket publishes those steps, I will add them.

For meeting settings that make the exported note better, see [best Pocket settings](/best-pocket-settings/).

## Notes from using it

I will add the exact export path I use with my vault once I have run it enough to describe without guessing.
