AI Life / Home / Security Cameras
All three sell cameras that tell a person from a car from a cat. They differ in where that AI runs and what you pay each month to use it. More on the security camera hub .

Detection quality
Tom’s Guide ran a side-by-side test of AI detection across major brands and is the best published comparison I found (Tom’s Guide ). In practice, all three tell people from vehicles reliably. The differences show up in package alerts, animals and how many false alerts you get from trees and headlights.
Which one
- You don’t want a subscription: Eufy. Local storage and on-device AI are the selling point. See Eufy cameras
- Cheapest hardware, okay with a small fee: Wyze. See Wyze cameras
- Already on Alexa and want the simplest setup: Ring. See Ring cameras on Amazon

What my agent can do with it
Cameras are where I’d keep an agent on a short leash. A good use is summary, not control: an agent that reads the day’s person and package events and sends one evening note instead of twenty pings. Giving an agent camera access is a real permission; see secretless AI agents for how I think about handing out credentials.
