The “AI” part
UniFi watches the radio environment and adjusts channels and power on its own. Ubiquiti calls part of this channel optimization. Beam steering points the signal toward devices, not evenly in every direction. Together that’s what keeps 3 acres covered without me touching it.
Who should skip it
If you live in an apartment or a small house and want a one-button app, a simpler mesh will do. See best mesh WiFi system .
