Getting started
- Use the sizing kit first. Ring sizes don’t map one to one to jewelry sizes.
- Pair the ring with an Android phone through Samsung Health. Samsung says Energy Score needs an Android phone on Android 11 or later, the Samsung Health app and a Samsung Account (Samsung Mobile Press ).
- Wear it to bed. Most of what the ring tells you starts from sleep.
- Try the gestures. Samsung lists a double pinch to control the phone camera and alarms, and Find My Ring if you lose it (Samsung Newsroom ).

How the AI works
- Sleep AI: Samsung describes a sleep algorithm that produces a sleep score and also reads snoring, heart rate and respiratory rate (Samsung Newsroom ).
- Energy Score: a daily readiness style number Samsung credits to Galaxy AI, alongside personalized Wellness Tips (Samsung Newsroom ).
- Other on-ring smarts: Heart Rate Alert for unusually high or low heart rate, and Cycle Tracking from overnight skin temperature (Samsung Newsroom ).
- Samsung Health Assistant: an opt-in chatbot beta inside Samsung Health for eligible US users. Samsung says it won’t give medical advice (Samsung Newsroom ).
- Gemini: Samsung has put Gemini on Galaxy Watch8, but that is the watch. Samsung does not list Gemini on the ring itself (Samsung Support ).
