AI recorders and AI glasses solve the same problem from two directions: capturing what happens so you don't have to take notes. ## Pocket

The one I wear. It records, transcribes and summarizes, and the free plan covers unlimited transcription. Compared head to head in [Pocket vs Plaud after a month of meetings](/ai-life/gadgets/ai-recorders/pocket-vs-plaud-month-of-meetings/).

## Plaud

Plaud's NotePin and Note are the best-known alternatives. Check which features need the paid plan before you buy.

## Ray-Ban Meta

The glasses most people mean when they say AI glasses. Good for capture, weaker as a note taker than a dedicated recorder; see [AI glasses vs a Pocket recorder](/ai-life/gadgets/ai-glasses/ai-glasses-vs-pocket-recorder/).

## Even Realities

Sold mostly direct rather than on Amazon. Check today's price at [Even Realities](https://www.evenrealities.com/).

## Which one?

- Mostly meetings and calls: a recorder.
- Mostly photos, video and hands-free questions: glasses.
- Not sure: read [is an AI pendant worth it](/ai-life/gadgets/ai-recorders/is-an-ai-pendant-worth-it/) first.
